The new head office complex of Crédit Agricole nha cai dafabet(CAE) was planned to accommodate headquarters stafffrom different locations in Central Cairo; provide CAEwith a high-quality head office building that enjoys aclear identity and prestigious image; and fulfill bankingrequirements in terms of features, modularity, andflexibility.

The complex is located in the 5^th Settlement of NewCairo over a land nha cai dafabet of 20,385 m². It comprises a stateof-the-art two-wing building implemented on a footprintarea of 5,100 m², along with services and landscapedareas serving up to 1,500 employees.

With a gross floor nha cai dafabet of 24,655 m², the building consistsof two basements, garden level, ground floor, and threetypical floors arranged as follows:

basement: building management room & security room;central document center; archiving nha cai dafabet; storage rooms;maintenance rooms; drivers’ room; gymnasium; twoprayer rooms & ablution nha cai dafabet; main IT communicationsand data center; staff restaurant & associated facilities;loading bay and post room; and training centercomprising four training rooms and an auditorium; lobbydedicated to guests and breaks; and parking areas
garden level: the garden is situated on a natural grade,revealing an additional usable floor (garden level) locatedbeneath the main ground floor; the garden and gardenlevel both organize the building into a “U” shape focusedaround an oasis of palm trees and large boulders

The complex was designed to meet the qualificationsrequired for LEED Platinum certification. In the process,full LEED documentation was prepared, includingfeasibility studies, daylight simulation, and others. TheLEED Platinum rating already attained entails that thebank’s head office complex has achieved 80+ out of100 points in the different categories relating to greenbuilding nha cai dafabet: water efficiency, energy and atmosphere,materials, resources, and indoor environmental quality.

nha cai dafabet’s LEED coordination also involved the developmentof an energy simulation model to evaluate thebuilding’s form and orientation in relation to its overallenergy efficiency. Meanwhile, to satisfy the needs ofthis particular project in terms of accurate modelingand coordination among different disciplines, ECGused the Revit BIM package throughout the designprocess, starting from schematic design all through thesubsequent design stages.
