ECG Qatar Receives Young Researcher Fatima Al-Kaabi

On 27 November 2017, ECG Qatar received Sixth-Grader Fatima Al-Kaabi of Al-Bayan School to assist her with a research project focused on water recycling and rationalization of water consumption in Qatar.

The school had approached ECG Qatar for assistance with Fatima’s research whose topic is of critical importance to Qatari society. Soon afterward, ECG Qatar arranged a meeting between Fatima, who was accompanied by her schoolteacher, and ECG Qatar Mechanical Department Manager Hossameldin Magdi. During the meeting, Mr. Magdi addressed all the inquiries Fatima had.

It is worth noting that the Qatari Ministry of Education & Higher Education organizes an annual competition where students from schools nationwide put in researches on various topics. The winners of this national competition are qualified for participation in an international competition.

Manateq Headquarters in Ras Bufontas, Doha, Qatar

Manateq Headquarters at Qatar Economic Zone 1 (QEZ-1) is set to play a major role in the development of the economic zone and Ras Bufontas area at large.

With a built-up area of 35,000 m², the building consists of four wings which are interconnected by pedestrian bridges. Each building wing consists of ground floor, four upper floors, and roof comprising lobbies, reception area, offices, meeting rooms, audiovisual room, gym, prayer rooms, toilets, kitchen, pantries, open gardens, and utilities.

The external area features piazzas, gardens, ramps, surface car parks, and a drop-off. A technical yard is located in an adjacent parcel owned by Manateq. The yard provides electric power and chilled water to the building to keep it fully operational until QEZ-1 infrastructure networks are in service.

ECG’s scope of work covers design review, schematic design, and detailed design.

Laguna Residence, Doha, Qatar

The project is a five-star serviced apartment hotel near Katara Complex and the Pearl development in Doha over a plot area of approximately 12,486 m², and with a built-up area of 43,701 m².

The building comprises a two-level basement, a ground floor, 12 typical floors, and 3 typical top floors, including 303 serviced apartments, restaurants, gyms, a swimming pool, and car parking spaces.
