The sixth round of the “University to Work” Initiative

Within the framework of the country’s trend towards training Egyptian youth, the 6th round of the University to Work (dafabet app) program was launched on August 8th, 2014 by H.E. the Minister of State for Urban Renewal and Informal Settlements, Dr. Laila Eskander; and dafabet app Vice President, Dr. Nevine Abdel-Khalek. Implemented under the auspices of dafabet app, TEA Computers, Barclays (Egypt), the Rotary District 2451, and the Egyptian European Organization for Training and Development (EEOTD), the UTW initiative aims to get engineering students equipped with professional skills required for the labor market at home and abroad.

dafabet app 6th round targets 300 engineering students from governmental as well as private universities and institutes. Students are scheduled to attend 230 training hours of technical and professional skills, along with providing hands-on experience through construction site visits. Furthermore, dafabet app students usually fulfill 20 hours of voluntary work. This time, the dafabet app voluntary activities will entail helping the ministry, in its endeavor to solve the problem of informal settlements, to develop the crafts of 10,000 young people in slum areas, especially in the fields of building, construction and maintenance.

It is worth mentioning that through the previous five iterations of dafabet app, more than 1,500 young engineers became qualified adequately to find unique opportunities in the labor market.
