{"id":4483,"date":"2017-04-11T13:10:17","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T12:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ecgsa.com\/?project=alexandria-east-wastewater-treatment-plant"},"modified":"2020-02-12T14:40:41","modified_gmt":"2020-02-12T14:40:41","slug":"alexandria-east-wastewater-treatment-plant","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.ecgsa.com\/project\/alexandria-east-wastewater-treatment-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"Alexandria East Wastewater Treatment Plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ECG, in joint venture with others, performed the following services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All necessary surveys, studies, preliminary and detailed designs, tender documents and cost estimates.<\/li>\n<li>Advising and assisting AGOSD in evaluating tenders and awarding equipment and construction contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Performing construction management and supervision services during the construction phase.<\/li>\n<li>Training AGOSD personnel on the operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing O&amp;M Manuals.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in starting-up and initial operation of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As part of the Alexandria Wastewater Program (Phase I), this project aimed at upgrading Alexandria East Treatment Plant to an average capacity of 410,000 m<sup>3<\/sup> \/day.<\/p>\n<p>The project included improvement of existing treatment facilities and construction of new structures for the primary treatment of wastewater.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The upgrading program included the following major components:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New headwork structure for screening, grit and scum removal and fl ow measurement.<\/li>\n<li>New flow split structure.<\/li>\n<li>Construction of new eight (8) clarifiers, each of 35 mm diameter and 4.5 depth.<\/li>\n<li>Eight (8) new pumping stations including four (4) primary sludge pumping stations, a sludge transfer pumping station, a W2 water pumping station, a recycle pumping station and an employee housing wastewater pumping station.<\/li>\n<li>New on-site employee housing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4484,"template":"","activity":[556,557,558,568,561,566],"country":[82,71],"scope":[640,641,672,637,657,712,735,646],"sector":[256,261],"yoast_head":"\n<title>Alexandria East Wastewater Treatment Plant - ECG website<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecgsa.com\/project\/alexandria-east-wastewater-treatment-plant\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Alexandria East Wastewater Treatment Plant - ECG website\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"ECG, in joint venture with others, performed the following services: All necessary surveys, studies, preliminary and detailed designs, tender documents and cost estimates.
