{"id":4491,"date":"2017-04-11T13:25:20","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T12:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ecgsa.com\/?project=alexandria-west-wastewater-treatment-plant"},"modified":"2020-02-12T14:40:41","modified_gmt":"2020-02-12T14:40:41","slug":"alexandria-west-wastewater-treatment-plant","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.ecgsa.com\/project\/alexandria-west-wastewater-treatment-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"Alexandria West Wastewater Treatment Plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ECG, in joint venture with others, performed the following services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All necessary survey, studies, preliminary and detailed designs, tender documents and cost estimates.<\/li>\n<li>Advising and assisting AGOSD in evaluating tenders and awarding equipment and construction contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Performing construction management and supervision services during the construction phase.<\/li>\n<li>Training AGOSD personnel on the Operation and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing O&amp;M Manuals.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in starting-up and initial operation of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As part of the Alexandria Wastewater Program (Phase I), this project aimed at upgrading Alexandria West Treatment Plant to an average capacity of 186,000 m<sup>3<\/sup> \/ day.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes improvements to existing treatment facilities and construction of new structures for the primary treatment of wastewater.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The upgrading program includes the following major items:<\/strong><br \/>&bull; New influent pumping station (955,000 m<sup>3<\/sup> \/day &#8211; circular slurry wall 54 m diameter).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New headwork.<\/li>\n<li>New primary clarifiers.<\/li>\n<li>New sludge-blending pumping station.<\/li>\n<li>New primary sludge pumps, scum pumps and W2 water pumps with hydro-pneumatic tank.<\/li>\n<li>New staff housing.<\/li>\n<li>Modifications of the existing building to house W2 water pumps and blowers.<\/li>\n<li>Modifications of existing building to serve as workshop and storage facility.<\/li>\n<li>Modifications of existing grit tanks to serve as W2 storage reservoir.<\/li>\n<li>Yard piping (200 mm to 2750 mm diameter).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4492,"template":"","activity":[567],"country":[82,71],"scope":[640,641,672,637,657,712,735,646],"sector":[256,261],"yoast_head":"\n<title>Alexandria West Wastewater Treatment Plant - ECG website<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecgsa.com\/project\/alexandria-west-wastewater-treatment-plant\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Alexandria West Wastewater Treatment Plant - ECG website\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"ECG, in joint venture with others, performed the following services: All necessary survey, studies, preliminary and detailed designs, tender documents and cost estimates.
