The project is one of JODPs’ phases, with the prayer area (Musalla) being a part of Phase III. It consists of two towers connected with the prayer area from the east side; and located on the main pedestrian axis leading to the train station through the King Abdulaziz Parallel Road project, and ending with the Haram Square.

The prayer area is linked to the two twin towers at the 37th, 38th and 40th floors (with an elevation of 40 m); at a height of 165 m above the ground. The main platform weight is 270 tons, while the final load is up to 400 tons; with an area of 550 m2, and a capacity of 520 persons. It is a metal bridge entirely made of steel sections with truss system that was assembled at a height of 312 m above sea level, then lifted using special hydraulic jacks to the final level 473.5 m. It was designed to allow for the movement of the two towers. Thus, the bridge’s possibility of bearing movement in some directions reaches approximately 1.0.m

The project is considered a unique experience that is designed to offer a complete vision with panoramic view of the Ka’baa, and an audiovisual connection with the Holy Mosque, without any visual obstruction.

[556,567,557,558,568,560,561,562,566
177,171
641
227,235
